Effective date: 2026-09-30. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of your agreement with AriHosting (arihosting.online) and our Terms of Service. It sets out what you may and may not use our services for. It applies to every hosting plan, email account, and service we provide.
1. Prohibited content and activity
You may not use our services to host, transmit, store, or link to:
- Spam or unsolicited bulk email — sending bulk unsolicited mail, running mailing lists without confirmed opt-in, or operating “mailing list resale” services
- Phishing or fraud — pages impersonating other businesses to steal credentials, payment data, or personal information
- Malware — viruses, ransomware, trojans, botnets, or any software designed to harm or unauthorisedly access systems
- Piracy and copyright infringement — warez, cracked software, unauthorised copies of copyrighted media, torrent hosting/linking, or sites offering illegal downloads
- Illegal content — anything illegal under Irish and EU law, including child sexual abuse material (reported to authorities immediately), terrorism content, and extreme violence
- Abuse of others’ systems — port scanning, DDoS attacks, brute-forcing, or unauthorised access to any account, server or network
- Proxy/VPN/exit-node services without prior written permission
- Crypto-currency mining on shared servers (it degrades service for everyone)
- Adult content involving non-consent, minors, or otherwise illegal material
- Harassment, hate speech, or defamation targeting identifiable individuals
- Casino/gambling content without required licences for the target market
- Resource abuse — sustained use that degrades other customers’ service (CPU, RAM, I/O, mail queue flooding); shared plans are not VPS replacements
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for all content and activity on your account — including scripts you install, users you create, and traffic your site attracts. Secure your credentials, keep software updated, and have a look at our guide on why backups matter.
3. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse to help@arihosting.online. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and act on valid reports — up to immediate suspension of the offending service. Confidentiality of reporters is respected.
4. Enforcement
We may warn, throttle, suspend, or terminate services that breach this AUP. Illegal content results in immediate termination without prior notice, and we will assist law enforcement where lawfully required. Where reasonably possible we give advance warning for non-urgent violations and a chance to fix them.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP; material changes are announced on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
