Terms of Service
Last updated: September 18, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and AriHosting when you use our hosting services. We've written them in plain English on purpose — no traps, no surprises. If you ever have a question about what's written here, email help@arihosting.online and a real person will explain it.
1. The short version
- You rent server space and services from us. We keep it running, secure, and backed up.
- You're responsible for what you put on it, and for keeping your login details safe.
- We don't host illegal content, spam, or attacks on other people's systems — ever.
- If something goes wrong on our side, we fix it fast and make it right. If something goes wrong on your side, we help you fix it.
- As an EU consumer, you have strong legal protections that nothing here takes away from you.
2. The contract
When you place an order and we accept it, a contract is formed between you and AriHosting for the plan you chose. The plan details — price, billing cycle, features — are shown to you on the pricing page and in your order confirmation email. Those details are part of this agreement. We bill you for the plan you selected (monthly or annually), automatically at each renewal period until you cancel.
2.5 When we act as a processor for your data
Hosting your website means storing and handling your customers' data on your behalf. To keep our legal position (and yours) clear under the GDPR:
- For data that you store on your hosting account — your website files, databases and email — you are the controller and we are the processor. We process that data only to provide the service you ordered, to secure our infrastructure, and to comply with law — never for our own purposes.
- You remain responsible for the lawfulness of the personal data you host with us (for example, having your own privacy policy). Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with any data that passes through our systems.
- If your end-users send us a data-access request, we forward it to you promptly — you are the one who must answer it. If a supervisory authority contacts us about data you host, we notify you unless legally prevented.
- We maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures for hosted data: encryption in transit, access controls, brute-force protection, logging, and a tested backup regime.
- After your service ends, we delete hosted account data within 30 days, except where law requires us to keep billing records.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate contact details, and keep them up to date — we need them to send invoices and service notices.
- You are responsible for everything done from your account. Keep your passwords strong and private, and tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.
- Accounts are for the person or business that ordered them. You may not resell our hosting or give out your login details to third parties.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services for:
- Illegal activity — anything against the law in Ireland, the EU, or your own country, including copyright infringement, fraud, or selling prohibited goods.
- Spam and abuse — sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), running mail-bombing or phishing campaigns, or hosting scam content.
- Attacking others — launching denial-of-service attacks, port scans, brute-force attempts, or any other interference with systems that aren't yours.
- Malware — hosting or distributing viruses, trojans, ransomware, or exploit kits.
- Excessive resource use — running workloads that disrupt other customers (e.g. crypto mining, large botnets, or runaway scripts that starve the server).
If we find a violation, we'll warn you first wherever practical and give you a reasonable time to fix it. In serious cases — spam, attacks, malware, or anything that endangers other customers or the server itself — we may suspend the account immediately and tell you why, and you'll have a fair chance to respond. Suspended accounts aren't entitled to a refund (see our Refund Policy).
5. Service level (what we promise)
We run our infrastructure to a high standard and commit to the following:
- 99.9% network uptime measured monthly — if we miss it, we'll credit your account for the downtime.
- Daily automated backups with 30-day retention, restorable from your dashboard.
- Free SSL certificates on every hosted domain, auto-renewed.
- 24/7 support — our stated average first response is under 4 hours.
The fine print, stated honestly: "99.9%" counts network availability and doesn't include scheduled maintenance (announced at least 24h in advance where possible) or downtime caused by things outside our control — your ISP, attacks on the internet itself, or force majeure events like major power failures or natural disasters.
If you experience downtime and believe we fell short, email us within 30 days with the dates and times, and we'll investigate. If we confirm the outage was on our side, we'll issue a service credit proportional to the downtime — that's our commitment to making it right.
6. Backups and your data
We back up our servers daily and keep 30 days of history. That said, backups protect against server failures — they aren't a replacement for your own backups. If you overwrite a file by accident at 3am, the nightly backup may already have captured the new (wrong) version. We'll do our best to help restore, but for critical content we recommend you keep your own copies too, for example via a simple download from your dashboard or an off-site backup tool.
When you cancel, we remove your account and its data from our servers in line with our Privacy Policy. We don't sell or mine your data.
7. Billing and renewals
- You're billed at the start of each billing period, automatically, using the payment method on file.
- Prices are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email. If we ever raise prices, we'll tell you in advance (at least 30 days for renewals) and you'll be free to cancel without penalty.
- You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep the service you've paid for until then.
- Missed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we'll retry for a few days and email you. If it still fails, the service may be suspended until the invoice is settled, and eventually terminated.
Refunds are covered separately in our Refund Policy.
8. Our liability (kept fair, and within EU law)
We take care to run a reliable service, but no hosting company can guarantee perfection. Here's the honest version of what we're responsible for:
- We're liable for damage caused by our negligence or our breach of this agreement, in line with the law.
- For consumers in the EU, mandatory legal protections (including the Consumer Rights Directive and the GDPR) always apply — nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that neither of us could reasonably have foreseen — for example, lost business profits from a few hours of downtime.
- We're not liable for problems caused by you: content you upload, software you install, or misuse of your account.
- Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. If we cause a month's worth of problems, a month's worth of money is the fair ceiling.
If you're a business customer, please get in touch if you need a tailored agreement — consumer protections are strong, and business customers sometimes need different terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example when we add features or when the law changes. We'll post changes here with a new "last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll email you before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. We'll never change these terms retroactively to take away rights you already have.
10. Dispute resolution (EU customers)
We hope it never comes to this, but if you have a complaint: talk to us first. Email help@arihosting.online and we'll respond within 2 working days and work with you to resolve the issue.
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the law of Ireland, without affecting your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.
- Your local courts: as a consumer in the EU, you can bring proceedings in your own country's courts — we'll never force you to travel to fight a small dispute.
- Online Dispute Resolution (ODR): the European Commission runs a free platform for resolving disputes about online purchases at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. You can submit a complaint there, and we'll engage with it in good faith.
Questions? Email help@arihosting.online — we'll explain any clause in plain language, and if something here doesn't match what we told you at signup, the signup promise wins. That's the deal.
